Early bird registration - will open January 15, 2016 and will continue until February 29, 2016 (11:59pm CST) unless our registration fills before then.
Regular registration - will begin March 1, 2016 and will close on May 16, 2016 unless our registration fills.
Students and Educators - MUST register using a .edu email address and show School ID at check-in. If proof cannot be provided, standard rates will be due at check-in. Please bring your school ID!
Symposium participant maximum - the ZOOM Symposium has a cap of 250 participants.
Workshop participant maximums - All of our workshops are by registration only - NO CRASHING! This is crucial to the learning environment of ZOOM. Each workshop has a maximum of 10-20 participants.
Safety & liability waivers - All ZOOM Milwaukee participants will be required to sign a Safety and Liability waiver at symposium check-in in order to participate in hands-on workshops. Close-toed shoes and Z-87 rated safety glasses will be required for most workshops, please come prepared!
Switching workshops - Workshops may be switched by participants only by phone (see number below) and only if desired workshops are not at capacity.
Cancelled workshops - Workshops may be cancelled due to instructor or facility conflicts. ZOOM staff will work to the best of their abilities to place affected participants into similar workshops.
Payments - the registration process for ZOOM is online only and we are only able to process credit card payments - no checks are accepted.
Refunds - refund requests will be honored thru May 9, 2016 and will be subject to a $25 fee that covers credit card processing. NO refunds will be given after May 9, 2016 at 5:00pm CST.

Photo authorization - By registering for the ZOOM Symposium you give UWM full authorization for your likeness to appear in photographs that may be published in print or online documenting the event.
Location - Riverview is located .4 miles from the Kenilworth Square East building (main venue) and sits directly along the west side of the Milwaukee River.
Parking - a limited number of parking passes for Riverview will be available for $25 and do allow for in-and-out privileges.
Roommate requests - rooms are double occupancy. Roommate requests can only be assured if both registrants indicate the other as their preferred roommate during the registration process. No requests are guaranteed.
Bublr bike station - Bublr is Milwaukee's bike rental service. There is a Bublr station at Riverview and also at Kenilworth Square East (main venue) as well as all over the downtown area of Milwaukee.
Amenities - Riverview rooms are have air conditioning and high-speed internet. Each floor has a large lounge with TV.
Food - Riverview has a small convenience store inside called Restor and it is also located across the street from a large grocery store.
Kenilworth Square East - is the main venue for workshops, all lectures, Thursday evening exhibition openings, and the final night party on Saturday.
Institute of Visual Art [INOVA] - is the premier gallery location at Kenilworth. It will house the On Function and Marble, Mirrors, Pictures, and Darkness exhibitions.
The Chipstone Foundation - maintains and preserves a collection of fine early American furniture, American historical prints and early English and American ceramics and is the destination for Thursday's off-campus immersive programming.
Lynden Sculpture Garden - will be displaying Kim Cridler's exhibition The Decorative LIne and is the destination for Friday's off-campus immersive programming.
East Branch Library - is the venue for our Critical Workshops sponsored by Art Jewelry Forum.
UWM Union Art Gallery - located on UWM's main campus, this gallery space will house the Cultivate exhibition.
UWM Art Center Gallery - located in the Art / Music / Theater building complex, this venue will house the Crush III, Repeat, and with Moves Like MacGyver exhibitions.
UWM Jewelry & Metals studio - will have an open house with examples of student work on view during Friday's exhibition openings.
UWM Special Collections Library - is the venue for the Wordsmith exhibition.
All the above UWM locations - will be a part of the Friday evening exhibition openings and ZOOM will provide looping bus transportation between Kenilworth, Riverview Hall, and the UWM campus.

Wednesday Kenilworth Open House - during registration check-in on Wednesday the Large Metals studio and Digital Craft Research Lab will be open for you to check out. Don't forget to drop off your piece for the participant exhibition!
Wednesday night Opening Party - will take place across the street from Kenilworth at the Colectivo coffee house. Coffee and pastries will be provided. Meet and greet and Pin Swap will happen so don't miss out.
Thursday night Exhibition Openings - Kenilworth will be the place to be for 9 exhibition openings spanning 3 floors of our arts complex. There will be light catering and drinks available at a cash bar.
Thursday Karaoke Party at Landmark Lanes - get ready to show us your best behind the mic or maybe just enjoy the bowling, pool tables, and arcade!
Friday night Exhibition Openings - we will have shuttles running loops to our main UWM campus (about 1 mile from Kenilworth) for 6 exhibition openings at 3 campus venues.
Saturday final night Celebration - we will gather for one last time on the 6th floor of Kenilworth for music, dancing, a cash bar, a trunk sale event, raffle prizes, t-shirt silk-screening, and more.
